Concord Academy review by University of Illinois - Urbana - Champaign student.
Physics program in Concord Academy is considered to be the strongest and the most difficult course in the school. It is renowned as a course for overachieved students. In Physics, we are not studying AP curriculum but far beyond that. Performance Arts as well as other Math/Science courses are competitive subjects in this school. The only weakness in the school is probably humanities since we have only limited options for those classes. However, when we finish taking lectures, teachers will assign work which allows us to work as a group and mostly discuss with others in class. Each class contains at most 12 people which allow teachers to go over every single student individually. No matter how advance the class is, the teacher still assigns a number of work each day.

Also, I was a tour guide for two years and at the end of every tour, we were asked to evaluate the candidate so if you think the tour is not apart of the process, you are very wrong. Ask questions and be interested. Also, tip for the parents: the kids speak on the tour. Do not ask their questions for them...
Most younger siblings have an easy time in the admissions process. I can only think of one case of a younger sibling not being admitted. About half of the students who entered with me had come from public schools. The remainder came from private K-6 schools, or had transferred from other New York private schools The Elizabeth Morrow School and St. Bernard were two of the larger feeder schools...
The school has seven houses supporting 50% of the students (the rest are day students) With the fact the Concord Academy is safest town in the nearby area, our school rarely has safety issues. The cafeteria is the Academic building (but different section) All school facilities including labs, library, technology resources are all in the same Academic building. When I was a senior, I had a tutor provided from the school. She is really helpful. So do my house parents and my advisor. I met once a week asking about my homework and even....
