Foxcroft Academy review by York College of Pennsylvania student.
At Foxcroft Academy, academics seemed to be one of the main pillars of the whole educational experience. With classes offered in many different fields of study, such as advanced science, language and communication, multimedia and engineering, architecture and visual arts, topics classes in literature, as well as other engrossing and often challenging classes. Academic support is available at all times, and teachers are incredibly willing and able to help - all you have to do is reach out; and if you're not the type of person that enjoys asking for assistance, then they will reach out to you, if such assistance is needed. For boarding students, there is a specifically designed study time that allows for proper completion of homework assignments and quiet preparation for school the next day. The general atmosphere is not competitive; students care for one another and try to help. Foxcroft Academy and its faculty does a great job of preparing its graduates for entering either secondary study institutions or the workforce. With classes available that aim to both help students acquire helpful skills for jobs or gain knowledge and prepare for college, any road is open to an FA graduate.

For the interview, dress conservatively. Try to be very clean and put together. Also, I was a tour guide for two years and at the end of every tour, we were asked to evaluate the candidate so if you think the tour is not apart of the process, you are very wrong. Ask questions and be interested. Also, tip for the parents: the kids speak on the tour. Do not ask their questions for them...
Most younger siblings have an easy time in the admissions process. I can only think of one case of a younger sibling not being admitted. About half of the students who entered with me had come from public schools. The remainder came from private K-6 schools, or had transferred from other New York private schools The Elizabeth Morrow School and St. Bernard were two of the larger feeder schools...
Students at Foxcroft come mainly from the State of Maine, although there is a considerable presence of internationals. Boarding students come mainly from abroad as well as from other United States. The quality of life is reasonably good: the State of Maine is provides with stunning scenery all year long. Winters are long and cold, but the outdoors are just what the doctor ordered during the winter season, whether you like to ski or skateboard, or stay at home with a cup of hot chocolate. The dormitories are very well-equipped; all rooms are air-conditioned....
