Peddie School review by Johns Hopkins University student.
The academics at Peddie are definitely challenging but always very fun. The class sizes are on average 12 students so the interaction within and outside the classroom are fantastic. The teachers are always available when you need extra help and the students also collaborate a lot. There is healthy competition as everyone wants to attend top colleges. However, there is no GPA system as the grades are numbers between 0-100 and the students are not ranked. Lastly, the exams are important but the homework assignments are just as important and challenging.

Also, I was a tour guide for two years and at the end of every tour, we were asked to evaluate the candidate so if you think the tour is not apart of the process, you are very wrong. Ask questions and be interested. Also, tip for the parents: the kids speak on the tour. Do not ask their questions for them...
Most younger siblings have an easy time in the admissions process. I can only think of one case of a younger sibling not being admitted. About half of the students who entered with me had come from public schools. The remainder came from private K-6 schools, or had transferred from other New York private schools The Elizabeth Morrow School and St. Bernard were two of the larger feeder schools...
The student life at Peddie was definitely my favorite part about the school. Even though i was 6000 miles away from home, there was not a single moment where i was either lonely or bored. The quality of students you get to meet are spectacular and we always found something fun to do. The dormitories are clean and simple and when you become a junior or senior you get higher picks to live in dorms with bigger rooms. Every dorm has a faculty that lives there to supervise and there are always dorm events such as late night snacks or....
